Regarding Doug's latest article. I'm not going to start a thing about it on the FP, but c'mon.
"I know you don't like the term "clickbait" so I will instead call this "Controversial Linked Internet Content Known to Bring Addition Inbound Traffic" That's really long though, maybe I can shorten it with an acronym...."
This is as clickbait as it comes. (picture provided only so you click through...get it?)
sorry Doug

I just wanted to take a second to point out the excellent "acronym joke" in this post. Typically, people will go to great lengths, picking unnecessary adjectives and awkward phrasings, in order to create their desired acronym. But this one is very well crafted, not feeling forced at all. Kudos.

If N-word can be colloquialized "nizzle", can "pig" be colloquialized "pizzle"?

I shudder to think what "jizzle" is the colloquial version of.

The content rarely changes that much. When people agree, it's a great column. When they don't, it's clickbait.
One of the great mysteries, when I write it, is which it'll be. I still cannot tell until I press send and the first few comments come in.

Its alright that it is, that's how you get published, but a topic like that was obviously going to be a fire starter.
